I extend a warm welcome to all visitors to this website.
The office of the Complaints Commissioner of the Virgin Islands was established to provide redress to persons who may feel aggrieved by the action or non-action of any member of a “public authority” in the course of their administrative functions. “Public authority” includes any Government Department, Unit or Committee, Public Board, or Statutory Body.
We investigate complaints from the public which are made in writing and which are warranted. Inquiries are also welcomed.
We operate within the guidelines of fairness, confidentiality, independence, honesty and commitment. We offer advice to public officers in an effort to improve their service rendered to the public, and with the aim of diminishing maladministration in the public service. However, it all begins with the complainant. If you accept everything and do not complain, then there is no possibility of redress. We respect your right to complain and will respond to you in a timely manner.
We look forward to receiving your comments and complaints as we persevere for ‘good governance’ in the Virgin Islands.
Nelson Mandela said, “It always seems impossible until it is done”. Make the first step and the second becomes easier. Welcome All!
